Why now

On August 27, 2026, an executive order renamed Lake Ontario as “Lake America” in United States federal documents. The change applies to federal maps and paperwork; New York State and the Province of Ontario continue to use the name Lake Ontario. We made these for everyone along the shore who plans to keep using it too.
